The Ramgarh Bungalows - 19th Century, Kumaon Hills Kumaon Kumaon Room The Ramgarh Bungalows above Nainital Uttarakhand

As suggested by its name The Old Bungalow is the oldest structure in Ramgarh, dating back to 1900 CE. It was used as a Dak Bungalow for the posts and as a night halt for British officers who came for inspection on horseback with their ladies carried on dandi palanquins.

The Kumaon Suite situated on the north of The Old Bungalow is a large space in the rusts of autumn with two large single beds facing a fire place. The window shows views of the green mountains and a really wide verandah lets you enjoy the outdoors. The Mustard Room is an ante-room with two singles and a small fireplace. The art shows the flowers of the region. Two bathrooms make it ideal for a family. The room has access from the front and the back both – giving the residents of the ante room independence to come and go as they please.
