Testimonials: The Tower House - Cochin

A rather unique charm
An exceptional charm for this hotel with excellent value for money (in a city that abounds with good addresses). Very pleasant swimming pool, superb lounge for reading and resting. Breakfast is excellent. There are different room categories. Please do not hesitate to break the bank a little for the most beautiful ones which are superb. Very elegant with mosquito nets, spacious, and quiet. The people running the hotel are lovely. And I forgot the main thing the hotel is at an incredible located in the old part of the city, with no relation to the modern city. If I come back to Cochin, I will definitely come back to sleep in this hotel! Outstanding value for money!

Excellent stay in great location
Wonderful stay in this 17th century restored Dutch house, with great location directly opposite to the Chinese fishing nets and walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops and lovely streets. Superb staff and lovely restaurant. Pool area is fantastic for an early morning swim or after sightseeing. We had Souza suite - well appointed, quiet and very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location and exceptional staff
We found our stay here literally a last minute booking for a weekend during the biennale. Which is a crowded time in Fort Kochi. We had a wonderful experience right from the time we checked in till the check-out. The property is beautiful and cosy. Each room has a different character. The staff is very considerate, warm, prompt and helpful.
We had 2 senior citizens and a child with us. And at no point was anyone uncomfortable.

Special shoutout to Mr. Prabhakaran, who helped us with every single requirement of ours with the most genuine and warmest smiles and patience.
Would highly recommend this property. True to the Neemrana experience!
Also, the location is fantastic! Right across the Chinese fishing nets, walking distance from the best cafés, eateries and shops.

“It’s character lies in its unpretentious yet proud bearing, almost grandfather like… a spirit of adventure surrounds it… back to stories of high seas….four poster beds….bathrooms that happily accommodate capacious tubs and windows with views of trees or the seas.”

“The location and building are magnificent! Beautifully maintained rooms and incredible antique furnishings. The crows outside are the only downside as they take away from a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Thank you to the staff for all your assistance!! We really enjoyed our stay.’’

“We are so upended by the nice building. We had huge rooms, nice beds, good (very good) bathroom. You close your eyes and you dream about the ancient history…on top of that you can enjoy the very nice fish plate…delicious. An ideal place to stay or finish your India trekking. Goodbye India.’’

We had organised a lunch for 20 people on the 18th of June 2022. The food and service were superb. The staff went out of the way to make sure our needs were taken care of. The rooms are quaint and clean. The 17th-century building is strategically located near the beach in Fort Cochin and various historic landmarks. Highly recommend the Hotel for a stay or even just for a meal. -Suchitraa Narayn

Nice relaxed atmosphere in a small coastal town. The tower house property is maintained by Neemrana Group. This property belongs to the Royalty of Travancore and it truly gives you a royal Experience. The property is on the beach and gives you a Panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. A lot of eatery places are nearby. Recommended for couples and families with kids. A lot of play areas for the kids. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Ranjit, Shabana and Vetrivel we liked your hospitality.

Superb!
It's a fantastic Heritage Hotel with artful decor and super fascinating history! Their rooms are really nice, spacious, and comfortable with clean beds, and classic furniture. It is quiet and private while being in the centre of the Kochi touristy zone, this to me is very likeable. The tree, flower & nature surround makes the Hotel an easy stay, beautiful and relaxing place to stay at. The Breakfast is refreshing with fruits and juices, & of course some Indian dosa, idly, upma! The staff are friendly courteous and great to talk with.

HIDDEN GEM RIGHT IN THE HEART OF FORT COCHIN
I am so grateful to Mr Rajesh Rajan, Manager of Travancore Court Hotel in Ernakulum, for organizing this stay at this hidden gem of a hotel reeking with history and heritage. The staff led by Mr RanjitKumar and his assistant Mr Vertivar are congenial and helpful. For me to be in the hotel enjoy the various rooms and anterooms and be right in the crowd was invaluable. I would consider this to be the best place to stay for a thinking person with an interest in history who enjoys the well-appointed furnishing all dating back centuries. Thank you, Mr Ranjit and Mr Verti. I will be back to enjoy your hospitality soon enough

Historic place with lots of old charm beauty
I have seen many of these beautiful old hotels all around Asia destroyed by modernization but Neemrana does it right: all the charm of an old hotel has been maintained, with original features such as high ceilings with whirring fans, beautiful wood flooring, and stylish antique furnishings. The hospitality is great: wonderful personal service and a laid back atmosphere makes for a relaxed stay (we stayed for one month that is how nice it was!!!) A great pool, lovely location, delicious breakfast. We will definitely visit again.

Wonderful!
I visited Tower House at the tail-end of a wonderful but tiring solo trip around Kerala, and was so happy that my stay there was comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are fabulous, each room has a very different style of decor and layout. The pool and property are well maintained, and the staff (especially Mr. Ranjit and Mr. Vetri) will do whatever possible to ensure your stay is comfortable. The breakfast is alright, I'd suggest asking for your masala dosa to be made small and crispy! Though, the absolute highlight of my stay was most definitely the cats on the property, who are so affectionate and loving, and are a perfect indication of how well the property will also treat its guests! Speaking of guests, I've found that Tower House has a strange tendency to attract like-minded…
