MAHARAJA RAJINDER SINGH

This suite is named after Maharaja Rajinder Singh who was described as “the first reigning Prince to blend the elements of the English gentleman and Indian potentate”. He implemented reforms, including endowments for a woman's hospital, orphanages, and training of troops. An avid polo and billiards player and cricketer, he was also the first Indian to own a car in 1892 – a French Deboin Bouton as well as the first man in India to own an aircraft.
 
Situated on the second floor level, this is a large suite with 2 terraces. The main room is done up in orange and beige interiors and is equipped with 2 comfortable double beds . A portrait of Maharaja Rajinder Singh adorns the walls. The ante room has a single bed and is done up in vibrant hues of red and orange.
