GUIDELINES FOR INTERSTATE TRAVEL

Punjab
Mandatory for Travellers
  • All travellers entering Punjab must either carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (15 days must have passed since final dose) OR a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Pre-departure test exemption: Infants and children below the age of 10 years.
Rajasthan
Mandatory for Travellers
  • All travellers entering Rajasthan must carry either a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done) OR a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. These rules are not applicable for travellers holding constitutional positions, medical personnel, defense personnel, children between the ages of 0-5 years. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers and COVID-19 testing shall be done for all symptomatic travellers. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. For Udaipur: Travellers going to Udaipur must upload a copy of their RT-PCR negative report here.
Tamil Nadu
Mandatory for Travellers
  • All travellers from Kerala flying to Tamil Nadu must either carry a valid vaccination certificate (both doses done) or a negative RT-PCR test report (sample taken within 72 hours before arrival). Travellers from all other states (except Kerala) can enter without restrictions. Travellers from any state flying to Coimbatore must carry a negative RT-PCR test report 72 hours before departure. Without a valid test, they will have to undergo a test on arrival in Coimbatore. On-arrival test: Symptomatic travellers from other states and union territories must undergo a test on arrival. If they test positive and symptomatic, they will be taken to the hospital for isolation. If negative and asymptomatic, they must self-monitor their health for 14 days. If negative and symptomatic, they will be taken to the hospital for isolation and further treatment. Thermal screening will be done for all arriving travellers.

Uttarakhand
Mandatory for Travellers-
  • All travellers entering Uttarakhand (irrespective of their vaccination status) must carry a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Those with a final vaccination certificate (both doses done and completed 15 days from the receipt of the second dose) will be exempted from carrying the pre-departure test, however, they will have to undergo RT-PCR/RAT test upon arrival. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Pre-departure test exemption: Defense Personnel and their families shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR test. Thermal screening shall be done for all travellers.
Madhya Pradesh
Mandatory for Travellers
  • For Gwalior: All travellers from Maharashtra must carry a negative RT-PCR test report, with sample taken 72 hours before departure. Travellers might not be allowed to board without a valid test report. No RT-PCR test required for travellers from other states. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.
  • Exception: For business travellers, there is no restriction if stay is less than 3 days. While exiting the airport, travellers need to inform the admin official about the short stay.
Kerala
Mandatory for Travellers
  • All travellers entering Kerala must either carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (15 days must have passed since final dose) OR a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. 72 hour RT-PCR report is mandatory for travellers visiting for a short duration for purposes like business, official, trade, medical, court cases, property management etc. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Some travellers might have to undergo a self-paid RAT test upon arrival in Trivandrum. If the port of arrival is Kochi the RT-PCR testing facility is available at the airport. RAT test on arrival is at the discretion of the local health authorities.
Karnataka
  • All travellers, irrespective of their vaccination status, arriving from the state of Maharashtra, Kerala and Goa must carry a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers from all states will have to undergo health screening at the airport. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to travel.
  • Following category of travellers are exempted from the above-mentioned requirement:
    • Constitutional functionaries and healthcare professionals.
    • Children below the age of 2 years.
    • Travellers arriving in emergency situations such as a death in the family, medical treatment might have to take an on-arrival test at the discretion of the local airport authorities.
