GUIDELINES FOR INTERSTATE TRAVEL

Punjab
Mandatory for Travellers
  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App.
  • All passengers must register on COVA Punjab App before commencing their journey.
  • Lockdown has been lifted with some restrictions. Flight operations remain unaffected. Please check the latest state guidelines before travelling.
Quarantine and Testing Guidelines
  • All passengers should undergo thermal screening.
  • Vaccinated passengers can enter the state with a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done). Negative RT-PCR test report is NOT required for fully vaccinated travellers to enter Punjab.
  • Non-vaccinated passengers entering the state must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR Test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • Passengers travelling to the state might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate.
  • Children below the age of 10 years shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR.
  • International travellers arriving in Punjab must undergo RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) at the airport, in case they do not have a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours before arrival. Thereafter, passengers must quarantine for the next 7 days.
  • International travellers arriving without the test or if the test validity is longer than 72 hours due to a long layover/transit must undergo institutional quarantine at their own cost. However, this is at the discretion of the state authorities.
  • International travellers entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Rajasthan
Mandatory for Travellers
  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App
  • Submit a Self-Health Declaration form on arrival.
  • Passengers travelling to Udaipur are mandatorily required to upload a copy of their RT-PCR negative report on http://emitra.rajasthan.gov.in.
  • Some lockdown restrictions might be in effect at the moment, however, flight operations remain unaffected during this time. Please check the latest state guidelines before travelling.
Quarantine and Testing Guidelines
  • Thermal screening will be mandatory for all passengers.
  • Vaccinated passengers can enter the state with a COVID vaccination certificate (at least one dosage).
  • Negative RT-PCR test report is NOT required for vaccinated (at least one dosage) travellers to enter Rajasthan.
  • COVID test requirements: Non-vaccinated passengers entering the state carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • Passengers travelling to the state might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate.
  • Government officials holding constitutional positions, defense personnel and medical support team shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR however shall have to undergo 15 days home quarantine upon arrival into the state.

Tamil Nadu
Mandatory for Travellers
  • Install and update the Aarogya Setu App.
  • A lockdown is in effect at the moment, however, flight operations remain unaffected during this time. Please check the latest state guidelines before travelling.
  • All travellers coming to Tamil Nadu must register for an e-pass (except those coming from Puducherry).
  • All road travellers must register on the state portal and get an e-Pass before travelling.
Quarantine and Testing Guidelines
  • Vaccinated passengers arriving from Kerala can enter the state with a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done). Negative RT-PCR test report is NOT required for fully vaccinated travellers travelling from Kerala to Tamil Nadu. Vaccination certificate is NOT required for passengers travelling to Tamil Nadu from other states.
  • Non-vaccinated passengers entering the state from Kerala must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR Test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • All passengers entering Coimbatore must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers travelling to Coimbatore might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report. The same is not applicable for passengers travelling from other cities within Tamil Nadu.
  • Negative RT-PCR test report is NOT required for travellers travelling to other airports except Coimbatore airport.
  • All passengers arriving from Kerala and Maharashtra must undergo home quarantine for 7 days and self-monitor for another 7 days.
  • Business travellers visiting Tamil Nadu for a short stay of 72 hours are exempted from home quarantine norms. In such cases, the individual must furnish a valid return document. Exceptions: Not applicable for passengers arriving at Coimbatore. Not applicable for passengers arriving from Maharashtra or Kerala.

Uttarakhand
Mandatory for Travellers-
  • Install and update the Aarogya Setu App.
  • All travellers are required to register themselves on the Smart City web portal before arriving in Uttarakhand.
  • For tourists travelling to Mussoorie - They must carry a proof of stay/hotel booking to enter Mussoorie.
  • All tourist activities are banned in rivers and ponds in Sahastradhara, Guchupani and Mussoorie.
  • A lockdown is in effect at the moment, however, flight operations remain unaffected during this time. Please check the latest state guidelines before travelling.
  • People travelling for vaccination must show their registration number.
  • The number of passengers in buses, taxis and auto-rickshaws are to be reduced to 50% of the vehicle’s capacity.

  • Vaccinated passengers can enter the state with a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done) after completing 15 days from receipt of the 2nd dose.
  • No negative RT-PCR test report is required for fully vaccinated travelers to enter Uttarakhand.
  • Non-vaccinated passengers entering the state must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • Passengers travelling to the state might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate.
  • Exemption: Defense Personnel and their families will be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement.
  • International travellers arriving without the test or if the test validity is longer than 72 hours due to a long layover/transit must undergo institutional quarantine at their own cost. However, this is at the discretion of the state authorities.

Madhya Pradesh
Mandatory for Travellers
  • Travellers must download the Aarogya Setu app.
  • Those travelling to Indore must install the Indore 311 App, self-register themselves before arrival and consistently update their health status for 14 days.
  • Lockdown has been lifted with some restrictions. Flight operations remain unaffected. Please check the latest state guidelines before travelling.
Quarantine and Testing Rules
  • Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
  • Gwalior: All passengers entering Gwalior from Maharashtra must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR Test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • Passengers traveling to Gwalior from Maharashtra might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report.
  • RT-PCR negative report/Vaccination certificate isn’t required to enter other cities of Madhya Pradesh.
  • International travellers arriving without the test or if the test validity is longer than 72 hours due to a long layover/transit must undergo institutional quarantine at their own cost. However, this is at the discretion of the state authorities.

Kerala
Mandatory for Travellers
  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App.
  • Must register on?https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/?to obtain an e-pass.
  • All passengers who intend to visit any other State or UT after entering Kerala must have an entry pass for Kerala and also the State or UT they intend to visit.
  • A lockdown is in effect, however, flight operations remain unaffected during this time.
Quarantine and Testing Rules
  • Mandatory thermal screening will be done on arrival.
  • Vaccinated passengers can enter the state with a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done). Negative RT-PCR test report is not required for fully vaccinated travellers to enter Kerala
  • Non-vaccinated passengers entering the state must carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 48 hours before arrival. RT-PCR Test timeline starts from the swab collection time.
  • Passengers travelling to the state might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate.
  • International travellers arriving without the test or if the test validity is longer than 72 hours due to a long layover/transit must undergo institutional quarantine at their own cost. However, this is at the discretion of the state authorities.

Karnataka
