Stay updated on the latest news about The Glasshouse on The Ganges, our hotel in Rishikesh, here.
My Kind of Place: Rishikesh, India
Located right by the river, far away from the madness of the main town, Glasshouse on the Ganges is a classy boutique property from the Neemrana chain of “nonhotels”. With tents and cottages, the hotel is right in the midst of a fruit orchard and comes with a private sandy beach. Cottages cost from 11,500 rupees (Dh665), including breakfast and taxes.
The river bends around this ‘non-hotel’ hotel of Neemrana and flows north to its source, a rarity, as GM Gajendra Singh points out. The uninterrupted flow croons a gentle lullaby at night, and in the morning, it becomes a background score to the symphony of birdsong that wakes you up. The glass house on the premises is the restaurant and play area; pick a comfortable seat here to watch the world go by.
Rishikesh is ideally known as the Yoga capital of the world, situated at the confluence of Ganga and Chandrabhaga river and surrounded by the foothills of Himalayas. If I was, to sum up, this Rishikesh experience in one word it would be: SURREAL. All thanks to this beautiful property of Neemrana Hotels. The Glasshouse On The Ganges is one of the most beautifully secluded spaces in Rishikesh, situated by the edge of a white sand beach of the Ganges.
