This grand room has been named after Maharani Sakhya Raja Scindia nee Jadhav, who gave birth to Maharaja Madhav Rao Scindia I – the first biological heir of the Scindia family. The Sakhya Raja Mahal is situated on the first floor level of the Zenana wing and dates back to the 17th century. It is a very spacious room and opens on to a terrace that is shared with the Rohini Raja Mahal suite. The interiors of the room have been done up in elegant tones of green.
